Fortuitous Unexpected Benefits/Rewards/Mistakes

The parents of my session today will totally understand today’s blog title ;). For the rest of you out there, it was fortuitous that I left home in such a rush that, half way up the Stevenson I realized I left without THE lens I shoot indoors with.  Grrrr….so I was forced to go to Mecca Calumet Photo in the city to get the lens I had been coveting for quite awhile now, sort of needing the excuse that I could, um, (for lack of better terminology) perform today.  I heard angels singing on high as I walked into the Chicago store, much much poorer as I exited Mecca the store I felt, somehow, at peace.  My photog friends out there that are reading will understand this as well: got the Jill E. medium black leather bag as well.  Sweet!!

Ahhhh, shopping therapy.

Regardless mistake, stress, therapy, happiness…I have fallen in love. Not with just this new lens, nope, but with R, my newest pal. He was SO funny, so filled with laughter and joie de vivre that it was truly infectious and I drove home from the North Side with a big ole grin on my face the whole drive. A big thank you to his gorgeous parents for welcoming me into their home and into their lives to get a glimpse of what life is like with this adorable 6 month old.

Ok, enough gabbing, here’s some sneak peeks. ENJOY!
