I hope everybody had a fabulous Halloween weekend this past weekend.  My kids are suffering post Halloween excitement and the candy persists in our home!  Soon enough all the joy of Halloween will be just a memory (but I assure you I tried to hold on to it as long as possible!)

It was a sunny but very cold morning when I met up with the S Family this weekend in Chicago’s Lincoln Park.  What a beautiful family!  It was my pleasure to photograph your lovely children, I enjoyed meeting you all.  Thanks for allowing me to capture your family this past weekend!

On with the bit of sneak peekage!

Ah, you are inside. I was thinking how on earth is there so much green there this time of year 🙂 Lovely family and lovely images as usual.

What a cool place! Love the feel of these – so rich with color in the setting and the clothing, and wonderful interaction.

Beautiful session!! Your color is always so gorgeous, and these are tender images I bet they love.

It is truly a small world!  When the phone call came from a certain area code & prefix I had a sneaking suspicion the client’s world and my own sort of overlapped.  I was right!!  🙂  It was a pleasure to meet & photograph this beautiful family.  The boys had the most scrumptious lashes (I know, at some point they’ll be insulted I am saying that but because I am currently lashes obsessed I think it’s ok! 🙂 ), we hit it off.  I loved photographing your sweet boys, your beautiful family, loved meeting you both, S & B.  Thank you for allowing me to photograph this time in your lives.  Lastly I am so glad we experienced THE quintessential fall day.  Every year I have a preview that occurs on that day, I think you guys got the luck of the draw this time around.  It was GORGEOUS this past Sunday, thanks for coming out.

Here are only a few sneak peeks of an awesome session:

but then I saw the next one. And the third one. All of these are amazing.

  • Brandy Anderson - November 4, 2009 - 1:28 pm

Such a happy family! Love your color!

I’ve been told that I’m honest to a fault, in this case I can honestly attest that I fell in love with these kids.  They really rocked my world!!  Fun, silly, sassy, goofy, smart, loving … all rolled into one.

Chloe is a beautiful girl, she loves to dance, read and watch silly movies.  Gavin is really into music, no stranger to Green Day and The Beastie Boys (by the way it made me excited to hear the Beastie Boys are still really considered cool! Brass Monkey anyone?).  He likes to be goofy and funny but has a really serious side as well.  Fun fun kids!

Thanks to their mom for bringing them out last week…here’s a taste of what’s to come!  Thanks guys, loved meeting & working with you!

I sort of have the Beastie Boys segueway for this next little blurb: go see the Tamra Davis Cooking Show (Mike D’s wife from The Beasties).   It’s a really great blog/show about healthy eating for kids & families.  I think you’ll like it.  I love her straight up simple no frills approach to healthy eating plus I totally dig most of the music featured in her show segments.  Enjoy! 🙂

That sibling shot is to die for. They look so relaxed and happy, just perfect. In fact, all of the images are like that, just wonderful.

  • PamN - November 2, 2009 - 9:16 am

Their mother has to be beyond thrilled! I would be so happy & proud if these were my kids – look at how beautiful these images are!

This session was great fun!  Three kids, four outfits and a whole bunch of images.  E, A & E rocked this session.  I was so impressed with the amount of fun we had in the short amount of time we were together.  They rocked this session.  Annie – I think you are going to LOVE what we got.  You have three amazing kids-thank you for entrusting me with building your families’ memories for you!

Thank you R for being awesomely fun to photograph and letting me do all my random location spotting.  You rocked it!  Here’s your sneak peek…
