My schedule this week is a bit insane but I just had a couple of last minute reschedules for later this month and instead of taking advantage of the slow day in the week I thought maybe I’d put this offer out there.  If anyone is interested in a session tomorrow, Wednesday October 14 – I will happily do their session for 50% off the session fee.  I normally don’t ever do this but last minute reschedules do occasionally happen (in this case the kids are very sick, hope they feel better soon!)  Please give me a call asap at 815.603.8450 to take advantage of this 50% session fee!   Session time is later afternoon and all other regular pricing will apply.

This past weekend I had the pleasure of photographing the M family.  Their newest member, little Z, was there – you may remember his mom’s beautiful maternity photographs from late 2008.  This was a session for the whole family to shine and it was so fun.  Z has two big brothers and they were really great kids, up for anything and with a few ideas of their own (and this I love!).

I love his cute expression here, very "I don’t know what to make of all of this…"  adorable!

A big thank you to the M family for bearing the chilly weather of this past weekend to create such beautiful family photographs!

I couldn’t have been happier this past weekend when I got a chance to see Little E again (she was not so serious this time!) and meet the rest of her family for a session that included everyone!  Lisa, thank you for trusting me again with your beautiful kids and the memories of them at this age.  This was a ridiculously fun session on an unbelievably beautiful day (we haven’t had very many of those, have we?)  I loved meeting and photographing Little E, her brothers and her beautiful parents, such a gorgeous family.  Thank you J Family, here’s a little bit of what’s to come…

That first shot is amazing!! I love the backlighting so much, it’s so warm and lovely! 🙂

It was a complete jolt to my system to come back home after spending five days on the beach sweating.  The weather was beautiful in Florida’s amazing Rosemary Beach, our hostess Marla of Marla & Shane Photographers and her assistant Brittany created a remarkable atmosphere-loads of learning, fun and just relaxing (a little anyway).  We did so much in our five days – it wasn’t just lounging around and sunning, I swear.  Thank you to Marla & Brittany for hosting this (sometimes wild, ok mostly wild) bunch of some of the most talented children’s photographers in the world, aka my photography friends.

I was mostly a slacker, this was my fourth time to the area (it’s my very favorite destination btw for beaching it up-the sand is so pure and the water is beautifully emerald in color) and I really didn’t snap a ton of photos.  Yeah I took iPhone snapshots here & there but I didn’t go crazy.  BUT-the time I did take my camera out it was pure magic.  Brandy Anderson of Calgary’s Fresh Sugar Photography brought her wedding dress just for a trash the dress session on the white sands of Rosemary Beach and I, a sucker for pretty people in beautiful clothes, went crazy shooting her impromptu trash the dress session.  So here are some fun things – not client related and more shooting for me than anyone else (and well…Brandy too 🙂 ) from our session together.  Thank you Brandy, you rock!!

I love the black and white pieces!

This is for Tasha-I may just finally be caught up!!  (and yes, I’m still chillaxing by the beach & having the time of my life)  Wish you all were here (well maybe not ALL since it’d be awful crowded).

Anyway before I head back to reality a quick sneak peek for Tasha, just a little taste of what’s to come.  Thanks for coming out to the studio last weekend, I enjoyed meeting you and photographing Miss Gorgeous here.  Incidentally Tasha had the CUTEST accessories for her girl.  Have I mentioned lately how much I *hart* my clients?

Children

Mmmm, look @ those boots-altho they were tough to motor around in!  😛

October sessions (just a couple actually) are still available – it’s the best time of the year to get photos for Holiday gifts, photos for Holiday cards and just to update your family photo with a beautiful wall gallery or canvas wrap from Marmalade Photography.  Give us a call to reserve one of the last couple October sessions remaining.  815.603.8450 (leave a message for when I return from paradise on Monday!)

See you all back @ home.  Thanks for stopping in!

Nice work here. Love the boots.

  • Terrilyn - September 30, 2009 - 6:04 am

Oh she is just tutu cute! What style too, lovin’ those cowboy boots!

Greetings from sunny Florida where the weather is mostly sunny and beautiful.  I am away from my office until Monday afternoon so if you are a client or want to be one – just a head’s up I’ll be back in motion starting Monday the 28th.

I am almost caught up on my multitude of sneak peeks for September (just in time to gear up for October rush!) .  If you’re interested in a session in a session please keep in mind that the last session for guaranteed delivery for Holiday cards & gifts is NOVEMBER 15th.  No exceptions.  We still have just a couple of October sessions left and November is booking up quickly.  THIS is my favorite time of year (despite the crazy feeling I get every year at this time and the neverending to do lists!).

I want to thank Little B’s parents for coming out from Elmhurst to the studio late last week for a Marmalade Location session.   We had an amazing time, the light was gorgeous and the flowers were full on bloomin’.  It was a pleasure meeting you G Family, I think you are going to LOVE your sneak peeks.  They rock (if I do say so myself):

Beautiful children

This shot, quite simply, took my breath away.  Brava Little B!
