A quick update: I have several dates available prior to the November 15th holiday cut off date for 2015.  Please call 815-603-8450 if you’re interested in booking a session at one of my southwest suburban locations or on location at your home or other location.  I have to refer out sessions with “runners” (toddlers and the like) as I have an injury preventing me from running after them but otherwise I am open to creating some beautiful art for you.

Onto the sneak peek…

I was so excited to create these family photos in LaGrange, Illinois at this family’s home a couple of weekends ago.  I photographed them at their home in Chicago a few years ago (<– click the link to see the flashback from 2013!)  and was blown away at how much J grew since I saw him last (it’s not fair!  Kids are forever frozen in time for me after I photograph them, of course until the NEXT time I photograph them!)  Angela and Jed are so gracious and I am once again reminded how incredibly kind my clients are.

Thank you, I so appreciate your trust in creating these images for your family.  As my own girls grow from school aged kids to teens I realize how incredibly fast this time goes and how incredibly precious this work is that I create for my clients.  I hope you enjoy your sneak peek!!

In my role as photographer I do a lot of suburban Chicago family photography on location and at some of my locations throughout the southwest ‘burbs.  Last year I did a full family session (Signature Session) with these kids and their mom and dad on location at their home and this year we photographed the kids only for more updated photos of the kids only.

I love these sort of sessions as it is all about the kids, always a joy to photograph these faces.  Such gorgeous kids.  Thank you Terri for once again trusting Marmalade Photography with your memories of these guys.  <3

I love doing high school senior photography photo sessions and in this case I was really excited and anticipating this session for weeks prior.  My girl Sydney has been photographed by Marmalade Photography since junior high and it’s been an honor to watch her grow up into the amazing young lady she has become (and continues to become).  After having gone to St. Lucia for a mission trip during her junior year in high school she has decided to embark on an amazing journey, The World Race.

The World Race is a mission trip that spans nine months and the young adults that go on this mission adventure are incredible young people with focus.  Sydney is no exception.  She will be staying in three countries doing work for that nine months: Thailand, South Africa and Nicaragua.  I am so happy for her, excited for her and can’t wait to hear about her incredible adventures.  If you want to check out Sydney’s World Race page you can do so by clicking HERE.

Thank you to Sydney’s mom Dawn for once again trusting me with memories for your family.  It is a joy to work with you and the fam.   Also to my daughter Madeline who was a tremendous joy to have along during this particular high school senior photography session.

I love photographing in the North Shore, I seemingly luck out on the weather (usually), the families I photograph are always welcoming and excited for our photo session together and the session locations are always fantastic.

This past week I traveled to conduct a family photo session in Wilmette.  We dodged the weather, caught the tail end of a gorgeous day and finished our photography session before the crazy storms that rocked Chicagoland that night.  It was a glorious Sunday evening in the park.

A big thanks to L, F, L and their lovely parents.  It was a pleasure to meet and photograph you all (including Oscar, one of the cutest dogs I’ve ever met).  Thanks also to my helpful assistant Maddie.
