Really quick, soundtrack time…I thought of this song on my morning run today. What cued me to think of it was the darnedest thing! A daddy long leg spider was running across the gravel path as I made my was down the towpath in the forest preserve. It reminded me of those long lost, lazy summer days of fun of my childhood when I was at summer camp in Yorkville, Illinois. The camp was/is located near a gorgeous forest (and a pretty cool waterfall down the road) and I specifically remember the place being infested with (not really overrun with) daddy long legs. I used to get freaked by them but as I passed by the one this morning I almost stopped to pick it up…however I let it be and continued on my way…the intro is a little long in the tooth however this song is fantabulous, IMO

A big thank you to the B family who came out to join me for a Marmalade Urban Session. It was a beautiful evening and the light was perfect. The kids, B, K & K were so fun…my daughters fell in love with them. I kept hearing how adorable little K was throughout the evening after our session…they really loved (as did I) meeting them and hanging out for a bit.
