You may remember the beautiful maternity session from several weeks ago that was featured on the blog here. A & L came to the studio yesterday with their adorable Sebastian and we photographed his newborn session at just six days old. L looked FABULOUS – she is quite the superwoman! A was so into fatherhood – I seriously fell in love with how much this couple was in love with their brand new bundle of sweet yummy newbornness.
Thanks to them for coming out from the North Side of Chicago to my little downtown studio. We captured so many spectacular newborn lovin’ moments – I am so thrilled to present these few sneak peeks for them! 🙂
This scale resided in the back of my closet for a couple + years and finally made its’ appearance yesterday.
I went a bit vintage with this treatment because of the mood of the light I shot in. Love this shot.
I personally just totally dug his little expression here. He had the funniest faces @ the beginning of our session together!

I received several appreciative comments in email on last week’s Fashionista Friday post – I am going to try to make it a regular segment on the blog.
This week I chose to focus on a session with a small family and two boys. I chose clothes from American Eagle Outfitters, Forever21, Gymboree and a couple of online retailers for shoes & accessories.
Mom’s dress, Mom’s shoes, Mom’s necklace
Dad’s shirt, Dad’s jeans, Dad’s shoes
Happy Shopping! I hope that these clothing segments on the blog help you in your quest to dress for a successful portrait session with Marmalade!

OH*MY*WORD – I’m not a fan of vintage’y processing at all but it suits that image perfectly. Absolutely stunning, Marianne. I’m loving your portrait clothing segments too!
