I had the great pleasure of seeing KC & his lovely mom yesterday morning. We kept getting ‘rained out’ for sessions so we decided to brave the bright sunshine, hot hot heat and humidity to fit this session in before KC grew out of his uniform. Yeah mon (inside joke).
I’d first met KC a couple of years ago when he and his parents came out to the studio for a session. We had a blast. It’s so cool to watch these kids grow up to be bigger kids – there is no greater honor than to be allowed to document this time in a family’s life. This is KC Fall 2007:
This session was all KC and focused on his passion for baseball.
This boy is ALL boy. Every once in awhile I caught a glimpse of what is coming up…
Thanks KC for putting up with the hot humid sticky late morning weather. Hope you enjoyed Ben Franklin & the Polka Dot and thanks to A for taking the trip out to Wilmington once again for a MarmLocation shoot. It was great seeing one of my very favorite families.
Skipping Fashionista Friday for today – I have a bunch of stuff to catch up on – I will bring it back next week! Stay tuned. 🙂
Mare:
Oh my!!! My boy has changed so very much!! You captured exactly what I was looking for ~ YEAH MON!! As always, many, many thanks for creating such special memories for my family!!
All the BEST!! Annette
What a handsome boy. That black and white shot of him is simply amazing. So nice to see photographs of a school age child – all too many parents take this age for granted.
Love ’em. Just saw your work from the Daily Candy site from a few months ago – I will be calling soon to set up an appointment for my three month old. You are so talentd!
Thanks Annette. *I* am so pleased to be able to create these for you. Yeah mon!! xoxox
I just love all your work and these are no exception. The reflection of the feet in the one is great! Lovely work as always.
Just perfection!! Love images like these that capture who each child is at that moment.
Mare, there is something to be said for a photographer who can capture such relaxed images of older children like these. You have such chemistry both with the camera and your subjects, well done!
I love these. This is a hard age and he looks so natural.
Perfect. I love that Mom made this session all about *him* and what *he* loves. Mare, you constantly amaze me.
