We are winding down to the final days before the Holiday deadline for sessions, November 11.

One session remains for November and nothing for December.  We will start accepting bookings for 2008 in the next week or two…so get your calendars out in anticipation for indoor winter images, hopefully some snow images (let’s hope Mother Nature cooperates) and yes….SPRING!!

I apologize to those clients who have been left hanging and awaiting responses…I have been extremely under the weather this past week.  I felt good for 3 of the past 8 days (and I probably overdid it on those days).  I owe a couple of you emails and a couple phone calls.  Thank you for your patience and understanding.  This couldn’t have happened at a better time….not.

So what is a post without a few images to go with it?  Enjoy….

    Love these

…when you have 4 kids. Having a great sense of humor, to me, is the highest compliment anyone can pay anyone. Tonight’s client, Colleen, had it in spades! Presession we had this fantastic conversation (the least of which involved naked 16 month olds bathing!) and instaneously *knew* that we would have a great session. Sometimes those first instincts prove right! So thanks to the S Family. Thank you for inviting me into your great home (built in the 1800’s, you KNOW I was in love, in adorable Geneva!) and for allowing me to capture the life of your four beautiful, fun, well mannered (and perhaps sugar high!) children. I am honored to have been able to spend this evening with you all, exploring your relationships via the camera (even in the bitter blustery cold winds of November). BTW, those kids deserve kudos for bearing with me in the cold. They were complete troopers. So sweet! Welcome to your sneak peeks:

hey Mare just a quick update .. I cant seem to get to your photos on Flickr at all. when I click on your name it comes up blank..

Seriously supercute. That is the only word to describe my session from this morning. I loved getting to know my newest friend S and her brother A, a big thanks to their lovely parents Brian and Lisa. Thanks so much for having me out this morning to capture your beautiful young family. Your children are adorable and I think you will LOVE the images from your session. I also love a good tea/coffee party now and then and S is the Mistress of Tea Parties! LOL

So please, feel free to scroll down and take a sneak peek…

I also need to take this opportunity to thank the traffic gods today. My drive time to the far north burbs (Deerfield) was under one hour. ONE HOUR folks. That’s a miracle! Gotta love Sunday morning interstate drives.

Thanks for stopping in.

p.s. I hope you all had a wonderful Halloween. I have been blog negligent this past few days, had been under the weather for a few days, I have a couple Halloween photos to share later of my little Renaissance Princess and Pink Punk Pirate (yes, my 7 y/o went around telling everyone that’s what she was…pink.punk.pirate. How fast they grow!)

awwww.. these are spectacular.. Supercute indeed..

Oh how I adored tonights’ session. I’m telling you, this week is just getting better and better (and to boot, tomorrow is my most favorite of days!)…

My session this evening was with Amanda and Chad and their happy, sweet, beautiful children I & W. I know Amanda from a former life (a good year behind me as of this month….I do sometimes miss the craziness of that former life but cannot imagine going back to it) and I feel honored that Amanda and Chad trust me with their memories of their lovely family. They came out for an urban session this evening where we got, if I dare say so, some fantastic images! The light was truly perfect for our session (I haven’t waxed poetically about October light in awhile). The clothes were adorable. The children were beyond sweet…I’m being all flowery here, I must stop. They were just lovely. Perfect. Cute. Sweet. All flowery things, I’ll shush now. 🙂

Enjoy these sneak peeks. I had a HARD time going through the gallery in the once over. I keep wanting to stop and editeditedit…however there is other work to be done before editing starts up again.

Thanks to Amanda and Chad for taking the drive from Naperville for our session and to you for stopping in to visit the blog.

Oh.. these are lovely. that one with the little girl being carried by her daddy.. wow.. and Hope you had a great halloween.. its so much our favorite holiday that my husband and I got married on Halloween

Only the most adorable new family, like, ever!! 🙂 Seriously, when the three of them walked into the studio today I knew we’d have a great time and get wonderful images. A big thank you to Katie & Josh who fought construction traffic from the North Side of Chicago to come out to the studio for a Marmalade Urban/Studio session today. It was wonderful meeting you and of course, the newest addition to your family, little R.

Oh Josh, thank you so much for being the baby whisperer-slash-assistant for our shoot this evening. LOL

So here we go, sneak peek it below:
