I had the awesome pleasure of meeting a new little client of mine yesterday.  I have photographed K & J’s family a number of times and watched them transition into first time parents, have had the pleasure of watching their handsome son grow from baby to busy toddler and now I have had the pleasure of photographing the littlest member of their family, P.

P is super beautiful and such a wonderful baby.  K & J are so very blessed…they have a gorgeous family and their new little girl is perfect-in every way possible.  A huge thanks to them for entrusting me with this most cherished of times in their lives.  I love the images from their sessions so much–I’d marry them if I could.  This newborn session from yesterday is NO exception and in fact already houses a few of my faves from 2009!!

But first a quick retrospective:

This is from March ’07 with their little boy:

Little Max 2007

And here we are not two years later!  Already doing somersaults!

Little M now...

Big M – Jan 2009

Love those beautiful curls and those gorgeous eyes!

Cutie Pies

I love this shot because he was so good! Aren’t they gorgeous gorgeous children??

Now that I have my blog fixed maybe I can update more.  🙂  Hopefully.  I am actually a couple posts behind for sneak peeks..apologies to C, M & L for not being able to sneak peek their sessions however they already have their galleries so no matter!  My story (and I’m sticking to it 🙂 ) is that I sort of FUBARed my blog trying to update it so I reverted to an older copy of it and well, gave up in trying the update–for NOW.  🙂

Thank you for stopping by, until next time–

Well, it’s here!!  The year end Marmalade 2008 slideshow is FINALLY up!  Even before my holiday (um, New Years?) cards have arrived.  🙂  Please click and enjoy the show.  Oh & a HUGE thank you to all my clients and friends that made 2008 an amazingly rocking year here in Marmaland.

Also I’d love to encourage all my blog readers that are in the Channahon/Joliet/Shorewood/Plainfield/anywhere area to make the trek out to Channahon for this AMAZING lights display.

WEBERS LIGHTS

My pal from highschool, Dave (and his beautiful family) have put together the most AMAZING light show I have ever laid my eyes on.  It coordinates to music so when you are within the transmitted area you can listen to the music that perfectly coordinates with this amazing light show.  I was blown away.  Amazing stuff.  Check out his website for videos to get an idea of what it is all about and to get directions on how to get there.  I assure you it’s worth the drive.  Great job Dave!! 🙂

    Loved the slideshow!
What beautiful portraits and such a great variety session to session.

I’m sure I’m not the only one scrambling to finish my big long to do list this holiday season.  My busy season extended until late November this year and I am just catching my breath.  I still have a couple left over to dos from 2008 and we’re back up & running in early January.  Thank you everyone for being so awesomely patient this holiday season!

I’ve been so busy that it took up until this past few days to get my own children photographed for our Holiday card.  I know!  Could I be cutting it much closer to the actual Christmas holiday??!!??  However I am excited to finally be finished with it.  It truly was a bit of work as I wanted to come up with something that adequately showcased the ice glazed wonderland that I was living in the midst of at the time (all that has changed with about 4" of snow and who knows how much rain!).  So this year my card will be more of a New Year’s treat.  No matter, I love getting cards and I’m certain I’m not the only one!  Clients: look for your cards in the coming weeks.

Here’s a couple of sneak peek images for client cards.  I have to thank the girls for being real troopers in all of this.  They really did their best to tolerate the ridiculously low temps (who knows what the windchill was!) this past Monday.  🙂  Gotta love kids who really cooperate for a cause!

oh these are just gorgeous, love the closeup especially!

Wrapping up 2008 I had the great fortune to photograph this radiant mom to be (and of course her husband).  Thanks to them for braving the supposedly "warm" Sunday this past weekend and driving out to my Wilmington studio for a session indoors.  We had great fun!  G was creative and open to any suggestions for her session and we collaborated successfully on a fantastic maternity session.  I am so in love with so many of these images, I cannot believe how much fun we had.

A big thank you to G and her dh S for coming out and allowing me to capture this magical time in their marriage.  It was a true honor photographing you guys, thank you for everything!

And that wraps up new stuff for 2008!!  If I can get caught up in the next few days I’ll try keeping my tradition of an end of year slideshow…I have yet to get my personal holiday card done and that’s obviously top priority but I suspect I won’t let 2008 pass without the end of year client highlights slideshow that I so enjoy doing!

Keep in mind that Marmalade Photography will be out of office for the Holiday Season starting this Wednesday.  We will be finalizing all client orders with guaranteed delivery during this time.  Thanks for a great 2008!!
