I am so behind on several things so a cute, short & sweet post about the first part of  yesterday’s stint at the studio.  Thanks to Monika and her beautiful beautiful girl, M, for coming out from Chicago’s Northside for a quick urban studio session.  Really quick little sneak peeks:

Fantastic! She is truly a stunning girl.

He is adorable! Love those blue eyes.

I worry that once one of these shots will be seen a certain mom of an 18 month old child is going to hunt me down….LOL

Anyway, could this session be any more fun?  I don’t think so.  A huge thanks to Denise for introducing Jen to the Marmalade ways.  And a doubly huge thanks to Jen and her beautiful sisters in law for travelling out to the studio the other evening (and braving rush hour traffic no less!) to get out to me for an almost entirely in studio session.  I promise you guys, you are going to be so very happy….

On with the sneak peeks…

Are you using a ring flash in these? Fantastic eyes and color!

I had the pleasure of meeting the K Family this past weekend.  They were super fun and it was a real pleasure working with them.  Once again I realize what a lucky girl I am with such a fantastic group of clients and I am thankful for it.

I won’t bore you with Marmabanter as I am much more behind than I should be (I feel like a hamster on a wheel right now).  On with the sneak peeks:

baby boy

This little guy was such a trooper…letting us take the set of images this shot belongs to without any negative fanfare.  Loved this little guy!

The boys, having fun

These guys were great fun together.  Love it when the dad gets in on the fun.

Mom

Doesn’t he have the most beautiful eyes?  I could’ve put him in my pocket and taken him home.

Thanks for stopping in….crazy busy season continues (and starts winding down…)

I had the pleasure of working with the B Family this past weekend.  They were incredibly great sports, it was BRRRRRRRRR out and the kids just put up with us time & time again.  I have a bit of a secret on how to handle the cold (ok, so it’s not that secret.  It’s called letting the kids borrow my coat and let them use it in tandem.  Also take the kids inside frequently for quick recovery breaks.  And finally get their parents to load them up with lots of hot chocolate pre session!).

Thanks to them for coming out from Lockport the other day.  This session seriously rocked my world.  I can’t wait to show off the sneak peeks…ok…well now!

The images don’t look like anyone is in the least uncomfortable…they look adorable! What a great idea to bundle the kids together in a coat. That first one is my favorite – talk about an image saying a thousand words! Look at their expressions!

Ha ha ha!! Hey, I believe it! I’ve been known to brave some fierce Florida winters for a cup of hot cocoa – but it has to have those mini marshmallows in it! LOL Ok, you’re laughing at me now aren’t ya? 😉

Seriously though Mare, these are truly beautiful!! Mom has a wonderful sense of style, I love the clothing she picked for the children. A perfect match to your unique style.

stunning work as always Mare! gorgeous colours

I have a bit of catch up from the weekend to get to…jumping right in to the sneak peek fun!

This is the 3rd year I’ve worked with the D Family.  The first year, the boys seemed so little…fun little balls of spitfire.  Last year they were still fun guys but seemed mellowed out and they were even MORE fun to work with.  And this year, same thing except they seem like big boys now and much less little guys.  It’s really cool, as an outside observer, watching their bond as brothers strengthen through the past few years.  Thanks to TIna for having me out last week and allowing me to document their lives as they progress from little guys to big guys and thanks to these busy guys for taking some time out to hang out with me.

That first image is so fun, seriously that is the best sibling image, them just having fun. Mum is drop dead gorgeous and I just love every single image here.

  • Heather Rivlin - November 18, 2008 - 2:13 pm

Mare, I just love the tones in that first one, and their interaction is superb – fantastic capture. They are a great looking bunch of kids, and mom must be super happy.
