April Fools’ Pranks (Internet Style!)
Archive Post
This post is part of the Marmalade Photography archive. We sincerely apologize - some images from our pre-2011 content were lost during a site migration and we have been unable to recover them. The writing and memories remain, and we are grateful you found your way here.
I’ve come across a couple internet pranks today, some have been pretty good (like the co. that wished me a Happy April Fools Day immediately after stating that they had been bought out by Google for $6 million!) ….thought I’d blog about April Fools because, well, I stink at pranks altho I do enjoy laughing at other people being duped.
The Swiss Spaghetti Harvest, Vacation destination San Serriffe, news that planetary alignment decreases earth’s gravitational pull…these supberb pranks and more can be found here @ Museum of Hoaxes dot com.
Check out GMail, you can pre-date your emails so they look like they arrive on time! (thanks to my bish, Angela Calderon who alerted me to this one…you have to read it, it’s pretty funny)
And finally…if you are a bit of origins enthusiast, you’ll enjoy this about.com link about the origins of April Fools Day.
Happy Day by the way…eh, I got nothing (However
I did think about posting that my 5×7 and 8×10 prices were going to drop to $5/each but only if you scheduled your session today…ha. Unfortunately I fear the joke would’ve been ultimately played on me as I’d have to do the clean up work on that one! :D)
xoxo, Mare
