High School Senior Photography

Archive Post

This post is part of the Marmalade Photography archive. We sincerely apologize - some images from our pre-2011 content were lost during a site migration and we have been unable to recover them. The writing and memories remain, and we are grateful you found your way here.

I say appropriate because I’ve been obsessing about the 80’s, highschool, all that good stuff…. Sunday I had the privilege of meeting MG and her awesome mom Barb. MG is a junior at a local HS and came to get "Senior" photos done. For those of you who get confused when photographers throw around terms like "Senior" photos, we mean high school seniors and not necessarily the geriatric set. 😀 High school kids are always great fun to be around. I love this age (talk to me in about 7 years when we’ll be full knee deep in feminine teenagehood in my house though…). I had so much fun in highschool, it really should’ve been illegal. Not that they were the best years of my life but definitely not the angst filled nightmare some people claim their highschool years were. Meeting new people, hanging out with them and being introduced to a whole new world beyond the first 13 years of my life…pretty amazing stuff. So when it comes to photographing this age group I LOVE to find out what they love, what they do. To me….these are SOME of the best years of your life (again, SOME of the best years, not THE best years. LOL). Life is still pretty new and the experiences are fresh and fun and you’re expected to be giddy, wild, fun. What would the point be if you weren’t. Anyway….I’m going on a tangent….MG and her mom graciously came out to the studio to have MG’s Senior pix taken. Isn’t she beautiful? Thanks MG & Barb for coming out, hanging out and reminding me of how much fun being a teenager is (eyerolls & all!) Just a couple in her gorgeous dress….
