Cousins + families this post.  I spent some time photographing one of my fave families from last fall this past weekend (yes I know I’m a bit behind!!).  They had extended family in for the weekend and I did some images for their family.

Here are a few sneak peeks for the K family – it was so wonderful to see you and your three handsome boys again (I appreciate being entrusted once again with the memory making for your family! xoxo)  and thank you to Judy for bringing everyone together for this occasion.  I can’t wait to dive into this session – we did an awesome job in this incredibly short amount of time – the kids were spot on!  We couldn’t have coached them any better!!

Family Fun!

Brothers – they have gotten so much bigger in our short time apart (especially that little one – he looks like a little boy now!  Baby be gone-it happens too quickly)

Cousins – look @ that crazy sky behind them.  Stunning!

And finally for kicks one of my faves from that day that I must show off!

Expressions!

Speaking of fun, this YouTube is going around and I love it so much.  Life is filled with joy – every momentous occasion should reflect that:

I love the expressions on the faces of the older family and friends at first.  Sort of all "jigga wha?"  🙂

Thanks for stopping by and seeing what I’m up to.  I’ll be off to St. Louis and taking some time off for a week more to hang out with the kids-this summer seems to be ending too quickly and busy season is looming…will be posting images from STL as well as our trip to South Carolina early next month!

I had the opportunity to visit one of my favorite clients and finally meet A, Banana’s little brother!  Thanks to Beth for allowing me to come out to their beautiful Highland Park home late last week and capture little A – another round of sessions with Marmalade!   Beth – once again it needs to be repeated – you look fabulous for having just had a baby a few months ago!  Your little guy is heaven on earth – I adored his big baby brown eyes – he is a complete looker!  Thank you so much for letting me into your lives – I loved seeing all the images we have captured together through the years lining the walls and gracing the tabletops of your home.

  • Kimberly - July 15, 2009 - 11:15 am

it’s probably not nice to hate your clients for looking fabulous right after birth so we’ll just dislike her strongly, but only in that aspect. 🙂 The second shot is TDF (great clothing choice, mom) and Miss Bananas is stunning.

Edited to add: Please see below for an awesome opportunity for any pregnant women in their third trimester in July.

This family made their way to me from Rogers Park on Friday evening.  They showed up in great spirits and were all smiles despite the ‘eh’ pre-session traffic antics and I thank them because traffic was horrid and they got all snagged up in it.  K walked into the studio and said: "I know absolutely that this will be worth it and it just doesn’t matter."  Gosh, did I mention that I love when my clients walk in saying wonderful things?  🙂  Cuz I do!

Little H (who, incidentally is *the* most smiley, happy baby I have seen in studio this year) is going to grow up to be a big ole flirt!  What an adorable guy with a great big smile.  Not to disappoint we had gorgeous light for our time together-mixed with good company and smiling faces, what’s NOT to love?

Bree Lara and Teonna Ingram own Borrow A Dress Couture, Chicago’s only designer dress leasing boutique.  They are in need of a third trimester (in July) woman who wouldn’t mind strutting her stuff on the network news in one of their designer dresses.  It’s a non paying gig.  Call them for details:  773-904-8735   Thanks! 🙂
