I had the great pleasure of meeting the C Family late afternoon on Tuesday before I left for vacation.  It was a great pleasure to work with them and the gorgeous little M!  Thank you for coming out to the studio for a session amongst all the urban wonders that are for the taking in historic Wilmington, Illinois!  😉

This is *the* cutest thing I’ve seen all week!!  So adorable, I sort of stumbled upon it looking for something else and heard the song on another website.  Quick did a Google look up of the lyrics and it led me to this video.  She is now 19 years old!  What a little cutie pie she was:

Thanks for stopping in!

It’s so wonderful to see him grow and explore at one.  He & his sweet parents came out to the studio yesterday evening for a Marmalade Location session.  Here’s a quick couple sneak peeks of our fun time together!

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful! These are gorgeous, as always Marianne! 🙂 I especially love that 3rd one of him staring back at you. Lovely!

  • Nisha - August 2, 2009 - 1:09 pm

I am so excited to see the rest of the images! I am in love with the one of me and him! And I love the one where he is looking back! Priceless! Thanks for spending your Friday evening with us! We really enjoyed the shoot and glad we came out to the studio!

Beautiful Mare — I love the one where he’s turning to look back at you! Great work!

  • Sherri W - August 3, 2009 - 6:39 am

OH my heavens on that first image. That is just plan and simply FINE ART. That would be so beautiful in the client’s home. Gorgeous. Gorgeous!. Timeless!

  • Kimberly - August 4, 2009 - 9:12 am

They get so big so fast – just look at how much he’s changed! Him peeking back at you would be my choice for a wall portrait but I’d have to have them all. He’s so adorable!

  • Terrilyn - August 4, 2009 - 7:56 pm

Oh Mare, so yummy!! Both then and now…beautiful images captured for this family. What a treasure!

Cousins + families this post.  I spent some time photographing one of my fave families from last fall this past weekend (yes I know I’m a bit behind!!).  They had extended family in for the weekend and I did some images for their family.

Here are a few sneak peeks for the K family – it was so wonderful to see you and your three handsome boys again (I appreciate being entrusted once again with the memory making for your family! xoxo)  and thank you to Judy for bringing everyone together for this occasion.  I can’t wait to dive into this session – we did an awesome job in this incredibly short amount of time – the kids were spot on!  We couldn’t have coached them any better!!

Family Fun!

Brothers – they have gotten so much bigger in our short time apart (especially that little one – he looks like a little boy now!  Baby be gone-it happens too quickly)

Cousins – look @ that crazy sky behind them.  Stunning!

And finally for kicks one of my faves from that day that I must show off!

Expressions!

Speaking of fun, this YouTube is going around and I love it so much.  Life is filled with joy – every momentous occasion should reflect that:

I love the expressions on the faces of the older family and friends at first.  Sort of all "jigga wha?"  🙂

Thanks for stopping by and seeing what I’m up to.  I’ll be off to St. Louis and taking some time off for a week more to hang out with the kids-this summer seems to be ending too quickly and busy season is looming…will be posting images from STL as well as our trip to South Carolina early next month!

I had the opportunity to visit one of my favorite clients and finally meet A, Banana’s little brother!  Thanks to Beth for allowing me to come out to their beautiful Highland Park home late last week and capture little A – another round of sessions with Marmalade!   Beth – once again it needs to be repeated – you look fabulous for having just had a baby a few months ago!  Your little guy is heaven on earth – I adored his big baby brown eyes – he is a complete looker!  Thank you so much for letting me into your lives – I loved seeing all the images we have captured together through the years lining the walls and gracing the tabletops of your home.

  • Kimberly - July 15, 2009 - 11:15 am

it’s probably not nice to hate your clients for looking fabulous right after birth so we’ll just dislike her strongly, but only in that aspect. 🙂 The second shot is TDF (great clothing choice, mom) and Miss Bananas is stunning.
