Just so much so it isn’t funny. Recently I was made aware of the White People Like blog. If you have not checked it out yet, you must. Something very appropos to my existence at this point is this post here re: highschool. Even more so because my previous blog post discussing my workshop had Just Like Heaven (by The Cure) featured (hey, what can I say, I love(d) Robert Smith…I was one of those smart but sorta wannabe Goth kids who never had the cajones to dye my hair blue because I happened to also be one of those smart sorta cheerleader-pom squad type girls so blue hair would’ve completely clashed with my uniform!)
My entire point here is the White People Like blog reminded me that I need to send my RSVP out for my 20th reunion. It’s been a horrid decision making process…do I go? Do I not go?
One of my good friends (from hs) and I had a recent email exchange. It went sort of like this:
Her: Are we going?
Me: I dunno, are we?
Her: Hmmm…should we go?
Me: See, I dunno. You wanna?
If it seems we are crippled with the decision making process we so very much are. LOL.
But now that the due date for the RSVP is upon me I think it might be wise to make out the check to attend. My biggest hurdle at this point is how I’ll juggle the session I have scheduled for that late afternoon with going to this shindig. (sigh)
As an aside, I searched high & low to find an image of me in hs, because discussions of hs are not sufficient without horrid humorous images from the 80’s backing this blog post up. Somehow (luckily) I suspect my big box of hs memories is cloistered away amongst the many boxes hidden in my basement. Probably better that it is so, does anyone really need to see the competition pic of me circa 1986 after a performance at Six Flags Great America? Somehow I doubt it.
Off to RSVP one way or the other. :)Â And to listen to The Cure once again!

the cure.. I saw them a few times locally and in Toronto.. what about Echo and the Bunneymen? or New Order… ahhhhh the good ol’ days..I was one of those goth kids..teehee
I tell you, E…..I adore New Order & Echo. Keep looking, soon enough you’ll see the 80’s flashback throwdown. Molly Ringwald, North Shore of Chicago movie feature chaos! I promise you. 🙂
